Located in Hobart city centre, the Maritime Museum of Tasmania can be found in the historic Secheron House, which was built in 1831 and is now listed by the Australian National Trust. Founded in 1983, the Tasmanian Transport Museum is situated in the Glenorchy area of Hobart and is best known for its extensive collection of lovingly restored steam locomotives and wooden carriages.
